Home News & Events First term highlights at Meadows View – Foxglove Class (Autumn 2025)
We have enjoyed an amazing first full term at Meadows View School in Foxglove Class. Throughout the term, the children have taken part in a wide range of creative and thoughtful activities linked to our British Values curriculum.
We explored important pastimes and celebrations within British culture. For example, the children developed their understanding of Guy Fawkes, Bonfire Night and the plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament. As part of this learning, they created their own firework displays using salt art. The children loved watching how the salt absorbed the watercolours, creating beautiful and unique patterns.
We also learned about Remembrance Day, discussing why we observe a two-minute silence and why poppies are worn. The children worked hard to create a stunning poppy display, showing great respect and understanding.

Alongside this, we spent time focusing on friendships. We talked about how we like our friends to treat us and what makes a good friend. Each child created their own friendship flower to share their ideas and reflections.
It has been a busy, creative and thoughtful term in Foxglove Class!
