Home News & Events First term highlights at Meadows View – Bluebells Class (Autumn Term 2025)
This term in Bluebells, the children explored the theme of new beginnings, focusing on seasonal changes and the arrival of autumn. We enjoyed spending time outdoors on the playground, where the children were fascinated to see water vapour as they breathed in the cooler air.
We engaged in a range of sensory activities, exploring different textures and smells to support the development of our sensory awareness.
Outside, the children created beautiful pieces of Land Art using autumn leaves in a variety of colours. They counted the leaves they collected, identified colours, and described how the leaves felt, noticing that some were soft while others were crunchy.
Indoors, we practised pairing two halves of objects and naming autumnal items, helping to develop early cognitive and language skills.
Throughout the term, the children showed fantastic communication skills, confidently using pictures to express their choices and communicate with adults.
